Avril Lavigne has finally came to the shore of peninsular Malaysia two days ago for the Best Damn Tour in Asia 2008 and...i didn't miss out! hee hee. well, almost. but then i hv this friend of mine who willed to accompany me. the original plan was me going to the concert with Jaz and my cousin Ikah, but then Jaz had to go back kampung and Ikah couldnt get bus ticket to KL. but i wish they were there. Ikah would probably busy taking pics and Jaz would, um..scream like hell? *lol* but last night was normal tickets for free seating. i couldnt afford VIPs (RM 600 per ticket. bleh.) and my dad was so not supportive. well, as expected i have to buy tickets using my own money =(. so, the concert started at 9 p.m.. No, it was schedule at 8.45, but Avril came late. so i thought it would finish late too. but we went back early because i promised my dad not to be out too late. sigh..parents. so, me and friend had agreed to meet at KL Central, but my god, i was stuck at Serdang KTM station for almost two hours!! which sent me this little phobia eversince. i wouldnt wanna take KTM during peak hours anymore. so i took a cab, whose driver was really psycho for costing us (four passengers) 10 ringgit each to LRT Sg. Besi. i was already really late back then, and i've also got my friend waited for too long. so i decided not to argue and just remained quiet throughhout the ride. all that matters was Avril's performance.we got at the Stadium Merdeka at 8 p.m and sadly enough, all the near seats were occupied so, i had no choice but seated at very far from stage and almost enter the RM98 tickets zone. what the heck, i paid hundreds just to get beside Avril. and it was just raining, so the seats were wet. oh, one thing that really bother me mentally was this bunch of youths from PAS who's been trying to sabotaj Avril's concert. it was actually really slapped me in the face cuz this pious girl wore purdah kept telling me to go home bla bla..so, i pretended i wasnt listening but i actually felt terrible to her heed. i was embarrased. but i believe i didnt do anything wrong, right? i was just listen, and i sat nicely at my place and it was seating ticket after all, so i didnt get in touch with the opposite sexes physically. yes, it's concert. and yes everyone's been shouting and screaming, some might even look like they're worshipping Avril. but i behaved myself. i KNOW myself. even if i went to this show with someone close, i wouldn't scream like a mad person. this is just not sensible. sigh, i think it's all about politics. why didnt PAS go sabotaj the extremely sexy Pussycats before? why Avril? why now? saying this doesnt mean i'm against this dakwah thing, i'm just saying that i didnt do anything wrong, and i know my boundaries. like hello, i'm nineteen. i dont need some purdah girl telling me what not to do. ok, i exceed my speech limit now. let's not linger longer.. so, at our seats, there was this horrible family whose crackinghead mother, which obviously bigger than us, stood all during the entire show! it's annoying enough that she's been standing, but she's been also encouraging her daughters to do the same too!! *grr* why she even purchased seating tickets when she knew she wanted to stand? thanks a lot to her now I didnt get the full view of the stage.
so, this Avril finally got on stage! and she wasn't too, hurm.. sexy. i think after the warning, she decided to just wear baby t and sweat pants. and her hair is so pretttty! it's curly and blonde with a tint of stripped pink. i think we have this in common. i mean, i'd dye my hair brunette with stripped pink too if my mom wasnt being so frumpy. =P so, she sang. the first single Girlfriend was really hyped. but i like Losing Grip the most. HAHA. jeez, so emo. no, Losing Grip has been one of my all time favorite songs. she's playing guitar for that song (reminded me how i begged my dearest daddy to let me play a guitar. anyway, that's a highschool story when i was so so so intrigued in being acoustic engineer. i'm in medical field now. old, old story. sigh). Avril Lavigne was really a hyperactive one. she kept jumping and running. she is so petite, her small inertia probably contribute majorly why she is so mega-active -_-". she recruited new band, apparently. i thought i would be seeing his brother, Matt playing guitar. but yeah, it was just more than satisfactory than i've seen her. hee. she introduced them during Hot, i think. i'm not sure about that though. i heard a lot of songs and i couldnt remember what she did on every single one of them. the crowd went crazy when she sang My Happy Ending. dont know why. i dont think it's the best song anyway. the wackiest song should be The Best Damn Thing. yeah, that was best damn wacky song. i wonder when i can have crowd spelled out my name aloud. =P oh, i didnt also know she is a pianist till yesterday. she played the piano for When You're Gone. and also, a drummer. for..Everything Back, if not mistaken. i think that was the last song we heard. Avril Lavigne is one heck of a talent. she was vocally all there. her singing live wasnt as bad as she was, dating back few years ago. actually her voice was pretty impressive. oh gosh, how much i adore this girl. nyaha! we went back at 10.30. my friend took off first cuz i was meeting Ikin, another cousin of mine. me and cousin missed the KTM, 3rd time for this day alone. so i arrived home very very late at about 12 o'clock (the fucked up KTM got delayed!!). had i know about this, i would wait till the concert finished. but good thing is, my dad was already asleep, but next morning i went to his room, but he's all good, and smilling. no nagging or anything. but believe me this, i got countless miscalls from him!! oh daddy, i've been living independent for over a year and he's still worried sick. he shoudn't be. LUCKY i turned off my phone. *grr*
so, things didnt really go the way i planned. my first concert turned out to be...hurm, rubbish? but the show was amazing. Avril Lavigne was great and amiable. and i'm glad i was there. i'm glad i've seen Avril right before my eyes. and to my friend (if u read this, which is not likely i think) i also glad u were there =)
